Trick Or Treat

As the leaves turn over,

Leaving beauty as the fall.

Colorful glaze over our cracked concrete.

The time has come,

To rise anxiety,

As the haunted night,

Begins to take flight.

You hear a sudden knock,

Sure, you spent all night watching scary movies to celebrate,

Must be a trick or treater,

Or even a friendly neighbor.

Trick or Treat, is called through your home.

Except this time, you didn’t have a choice.

Trick.

Not treat.
